Learn, Observe & Practice

• The surgical aspect will focus on advanced implant procedures, GBR vertical and horizontal grafting, Sinus augmentation, Periimplantitis and complications in implant dentistry.
• The digital workflow will describe virtual implant planing, scanning of implant bodies and gingival emergence, 3D printing of surgical guides and single implant and full arch hybrid temporaries
• The choice of implant design and its benefits in deficient and poor-quality bone will be presented.
• The restorative aspect will focus on esthetic results for single to full-arch solutions using the analog and full digital workflow, the optimal implant position, abutment choice and the evidence and experience to deliver long-term results.

The class students will practice procedures using:

1) GBR horizontal and vertical bone grafting with collagen and TR-PTFE membranes, fixations pins and screws, bone grafts, biomaterials and Growth Factors in special plastic models and fresh pig jaw models
2) Full-arch straight and tilted implant placement and restoration in special plastic models
3) Sinus bone graft procedures using the lateral and crestal lift approach
4) Engaging implants (Straumann BLX and TLX) in special plastic models for socket and full arch treatment

DR SASCHA JOVANOVIC

Periodontist & Implant Surgeon, Los Angeles

Dr. Sascha A. Jovanovic is considered a global expert in Implant Dentistry and one of the founders of guided bone regeneration (GBR) and Esthetic Implant Surgery with over 80 scientific publications. He presents his clinical and evidence based implant protocols globally and is Academic Chair of the gIDE Institute, Past-President of the European Association of Osseointegration (EAO), Past-Co-Director of the UCLA Dental Implant Center, honorary member and award recipient of several academic organizations and editorial boards for scientific journals and Past-Faculty of UCLA, Loma Linda Univ, Univ of Aachen, Hong Kong Univ, Buenos Aires Univ, Chulalongkorn Univ and others. He was formally trained in Periodontics at UCLA School of Dentistry; in Implant Dentistry at Loma Linda Univ and in Prosthodontics at Univ of Aachen, Germany and holds a Master of Sciences Degree in Oral Biology from UCLA. Dr. Jovanovic’s practice and research emphasizes bone and soft tissue regeneration and esthetic implant management.

DR WALDEMAR POLIDO

Clinical Professor, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Co-Director, Center for Implant, Esthetic and Innovative Dentistry, Indiana University School of Dentistry. MS and PhD degrees from the PUCRS School of Dentistry, Porto Alegre, RS, Brasil. Residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas, TX. ITI Fellow, AOCMF, IAOMS and AAOMS Member. Certified and Fellow of the International Board for Certification of Specialists in OMFS.

DR MILES MADISON

Periodontist & Implant Surgeon, Beverly Hills, CA

Dr. Miles Madison DDS attended UCLA School of Dentistry where he again graduated with top honors and was the recipient of numerous academic awards. Dr. Madison specialized in Periodontology at UCSF (University of California at San Francisco) where he became one of the youngest graduating periodontists in the United States. Dr. Madison is board certified in I.V. sedation and hypnosis. He lectures nationally and is the recipient of numerous honors and awards throughout his career. He is a Visiting Lecturer at UCLA School of Dentistry, on the California Board of Dental Examiners General Anesthesia, and a Conscious Sedation Evaluator.

COVID-19 SAFETY

gIDE continues to follow the California Department of Public Health COVID-19 guidelines for in-person events. At this time, it is not required to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a negative test to attend gIDE training programs 2023 in Los Angeles. Masks are strongly encouraged, especially for individuals who are at high risk. Attendees are asked to monitor their own health and stay home if sick or have symptoms.

We will follow changes to these guidelines carefully and update them as needed. Attendees should be prepared to provide proof of vaccination or negative test if the guidance is updated. Thank you for your support in making gIDE a safe and comfortable environment for everyone.

gIDE can elect to cancel or postpone scheduled courses due to the health risks associated with the current pandemic and cannot be held responsible for reimbursing prepaid (including non-refundable) customer travel costs.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Cancellation fee is $750 up to forty-five (45) days prior to each program. After that date, there will be no refunds. gIDE may cancel scheduled courses up to thirty (30) days prior to the scheduled start of the course if certain attendance minimums are not met. gIDE is not responsible for reimbursing prepaid (including non-refundable) customer travel costs. It is recommended that customers who elect to incur travel costs for a training course, schedule and purchase airfare and hotel accommodations with this in mind.
