1-Day Vertical Ridge Augmentation Course with Lectures & Hands-On Training in Los Angeles

This surgical program is designed for dental professionals looking to enhance their skills in managing complex and extended resorbed ridges and achieving optimal esthetic and functional outcomes. The course covers vertical and horizontal ridge augmentation using a 3D designed custom micro perforated Titanium Mesh.
The discussion will focus on treatment planning, designing the titanium mesh and patient selection for this new grafting technique and mastering its bone grafting technique from incision to suturing. Participants will learn periosteal release techniques, optimal implant selection, and the use of the new 3D Custom Designed Micro-Perforated Titanium Mesh technology. The curriculum includes flap design, suturing, autogenous bone harvesting, biomaterial placement, and the application of bone tacks and screws. Additionally, the course focuses on vertical ridge augmentation using Titanium Mesh and collagen membranes, and implant placement with simultaneous GBR. This hands-on training ensures participants are equipped to handle complex procedures and deliver exceptional patient care.

• Concepts and techniques in bone grafting from incision to suturing
• Periosteal Release techniques to obtain consistent flap advancement
• The optimal selection of implant design, surface and position
• Treatment planning for esthetic cases and the development of gingival papilla support
• New technology using 3D Custom Designed Micro-Perforated Titanium Mesh
• Implant complications, possibility of treatment and prognosis
• Potential intra-oral donor sites, as well as techniques for harvesting such sites
• Decision making based on outcome of available soft tissue protocols
• Prosthetic steps to assist in grafting and implant procedures for the clinician
• Learn the use of biomaterials and growth factors with autogenous bone and barrier membranes

AFTERNOON: 1/2 DAY HANDS-ON WORKSHOP

DR MARCO RONDA

GENOA, ITALY | Periodontist

Dr. Marco Ronda earned his medical degree in 1990 from the University of Verona and has been practicing dentistry at his private clinic in Genoa ever since. His postgraduate education includes an advanced surgery course led by Professor Massimo Simion in Milan and a Master’s course in Regenerative Surgical Techniques at the University of Pennsylvania. He regularly attends the American Academy of Implant Dentistry’s annual meetings and has completed multiple specialized courses in horizontal and vertical bone regeneration techniques. Additionally, he participates in the Continuing Dental Education program at the New York University College of Dentistry, Post Graduate, on an annual basis. At his clinic he frequently conducts practical training sessions in implantology and bone regeneration techniques. Over the years, he has served as a speaker at both national and international congresses. His research has been featured in the international Journal of Periodontics & Restorative Dentistry, including a study on a new surgical technique for lingual flap management and a clinical study on the coronal advancement of the buccal flap. Furthermore, he authored an article in COIR magazine that compares the clinical outcomes of GBR using e-ptfe non-resorbable membranes. An active faculty of the gIDE Online Video Library as well as an active guest faculty of in-person training courses.
Dr. Marco Ronda is an active member of the Italian Academy of Osseointegration (IAO) and co-founder of the Piezosurgery Academy.

Cancellation fee is $750 up to forty-five (45) days prior to each program. After that date, there will be no refunds. gIDE may cancel scheduled courses up to thirty (30) days prior to the scheduled start of the course if certain attendance minimums are not met. gIDE is not responsible for reimbursing prepaid (including non-refundable) customer travel costs. It is recommended that customers who elect to incur travel costs for a training course, schedule and purchase airfare and hotel accommodations with this in mind.
