Learn, Observe & Practice

• Restorative and esthetic topics involved in osseointegration and implant prosthodontics will cover multiple teeth, and single tooth restorations.

• Surgical management of extraction sockets, implant placement in different bone conditions, ridge augmentation using GBR procedures, patient selection and preparation and complications is highlighted.

• Accurate analog and digital impression taking, fit of framework, screw-retained vs cemented, abutment choice and occlusal design are highlighted in detail.

9 Hands-on workshops with plastic and fresh porcine jaw models will be performed over the 5 days.

The placement of 12 dental implants using microsurgical Hu-Friedy hand instruments, nylon and PTFE suture materials, W&H drill units, Straumann BLT, BLX and TLX implant systems, GBR bone regenerative biomaterials, digital photography steps and 3Shape scanning protocols are performed by the class.

Dr Sascha Jovanovic

Periodontist & Program Chair, Los Angeles

Dr. Sascha A. Jovanovic is considered a global expert in Implant Dentistry and one of the founders of guided bone regeneration (GBR) and Esthetic Implant Surgery with over 80 scientific publications. He presents his clinical and evidence-based implant protocols globally and is Academic Chair of the gIDE Institute, Past-President of the European Association of Osseointegration (EAO), Past-Co-Director of the UCLA Dental Implant Center, honorary member and award recipient of several academic organizations and editorial boards for scientific journals and Past-Faculty of UCLA, Loma Linda Univ, Univ of Aachen, Hong Kong Univ, Buenos Aires Univ, Chulalongkorn Univ and others. He was formally trained in Periodontics at UCLA School of Dentistry; in Implant Dentistry at Loma Linda Univ and in Prosthodontics at Univ of Aachen, Germany and holds a Master of Sciences Degree in Oral Biology from UCLA. Dr. Jovanovic’s practice and research emphasize bone and soft tissue regeneration and esthetic implant management.

Dr Dennis Hunt

Periodontist, Los Angeles

Dr. Dennis Hunt was formally trained in Periodontics at UCLA School of Dentistry, and holds a Master of Science degree in Oral Biology from UCLA. He restricts his clinical work to preventive Periodontal therapy, periodontal plastic surgery, dental implant therapy and bone & soft tissue reconstruction and has collaborated with Dr Jovanovic on cases and in research for over 30 years. He is Founder of RockstarWhite, a tooth whitening company. Dr. Hunt’s clinical research emphasizes esthetic management in dental therapy and applied bone and soft tissue reconstruction techniques. He teaches nationally and internationally and has published several scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals, along with winning research awards from both UCLA and AO.

Dr Miles Madison

Dental Implants Periodontist, Beverly Hills, CA

Dr. Miles Madison DDS attended UCLA School of Dentistry where he again graduated with top honors and was the recipient of numerous academic awards. Dr. Madison specialized in Periodontology at UCSF (University of California at San Francisco) where he became one of the youngest graduating periodontists in the United States. Dr. Madison is board certified in I.V. sedation and hypnosis. He lectures nationally and is the recipient of numerous honors and awards throughout his career. He is a Visiting Lecturer at UCLA School of Dentistry, on the California Board of Dental Examiners General Anesthesia, and a Conscious Sedation Evaluator.

gIDE can elect to cancel or postpone scheduled courses due to the health risks associated with the current pandemic and cannot be held responsible for reimbursing prepaid (including non-refundable) customer travel costs.

COURSE INFORMATION

Cancellation fee is $750 up to forty-five (45) days prior to each program. After that date, there will be no refunds. gIDE may cancel scheduled courses up to thirty (30) days prior to the scheduled start of the course if certain attendance minimums are not met. gIDE is not responsible for reimbursing prepaid (including non-refundable) customer travel costs. It is recommended that customers who elect to incur travel costs for a training course, schedule and purchase airfare and hotel accommodations with this in mind.
